Phillips Professional Investigations was founded by J. Brant Phillips. Brant retired as a Detective Sergeant with almost 21 years of Law Enforcement and Private Investigation experience.

During his career as an Law Enforcement Officer Brant has worked closely with many state and federal agencies. Just to name a few, United States Secret Service, US Postal Service, DEA, US Customs, Homeland Security and Local law enforcement. He also is a contractor with the Department of Defense. Brant has testified in State and Federal court, he has a good understanding of our judicial system.  

Brant has a Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice. He has well over 1500 hours of training, a portion of his training consist of Police Law Institute, Death Investigations, Homicide Investigation, Interview and Interrogation, Internal Affairs Investigation, Physical Surveillance and Undercover Investigations.

Brant has received from the North Carolina Justice Academy the Criminal Investigators Certificate. He has achieved the Advanced Law Enforcement Award from North Carolina criminal Justice education and Training of standards commission. He was named Outstanding Officer of the year four years and received many commendations and service awards during his law enforcement career.

Brant also is a North Carolina Criminal Justice Instructor were he teaches in the Basic Law Enforcement Training Program. Brant served honorably in the United States Army Reserve 1988 until 1996.
